Ms. Thirlby joined the faculty of Roberts Wesleyan College as an adjunct professor in 2010, teaching business and leadership. She authored and facilitates The Leadership Challenge component in the Masters in Strategic Leadership (MSL) program, and authored and teaches the Certificate in Strategic Nonprofit Leadership (CSNL) program. Ms. Thirlby has been a strategic leadership consultant for 25 years, coaching leaders in strategy formulation, leading change, and personal and professional development. Prior to consulting, Ms. Thirlby was the VP Operations for a high technology company that designed, manufactured and marketed ultra efficient refrigeration systems sold globally to organizations such as World Health Organization, Internal Red Cross, and NASA. Ms. Thirlby holds an MS in Strategic Leadership from RWC, and a BA in Humanities from Stephens College. She has decades of service on several nonprofit boards, including 10 years as an officer on the board of Young Audiences of New Jersey and 3 of 14 years as the president of the board of Paulist Press.
